long live the confederacy!

i haven't written in awhile. mostly because i use my myspace blog for all of my blogging needs. in any case, i miss you livejournal kids and i am in the school library so i thought i'd update.

currently things are going extremely well. too well. in regard to my previous post, prom was a lot of fun. it was a good way to say goodbye to all of the people you're probably never going to see again.

my graduation is the 30th. there're some nights that i think about it and find myself restless due to both anticipation and fear. i don't really know what i'm afraid of, though. maybe afraid of having to grow up? losing people? forgetting? in any case, two weeks from now i'm sure i'll be ready. if i'm not, i'm going to have to learn to be.

i am going to miss a lot of people. keeping in contact is difficult, but i suppose that's what all of these neat friend websites are for.

plus, there're so many things to look forward to in the future: traveling, fluency in various languages, seeing jackie and all of my ohio friends graduate. that's probably the one thing i'm most excited about now: i haven't seen jackie in a long time and being able to spend a week with her is going to be so much fun!

i've really grown to appreciate what i have rather than dwell on what i want lately. it makes life so much easier. if there is one good thing that came out of my and janelle's fallout, it's that. sometimes i just wish i knew how to show that appreciation a little better.

i do appreciate butterflies and jews...
