Not much of interest has happened since i last wrote. I ended up feeling even worse since I last wrote. Joint aches, muscle aches, & a return of my uh.. Less pleasant bathroom-related shit. Thankfully I have a doctor's appointment coming up in a few days, so I plan on mentioning all of this to my doctor in hopes of maybe coming up with a new idea of what to do.
Hopefully, anyway.
About the only thing of note is that I finally started to cross a show off of my To See list, one that's been on there for quite some time. I've meant to watch some of the more well-known now-older (like, late 90's/early 2000's) animes like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, etc but just never got around to it. After poking around on Crunchyroll the other day, I came across Hellsing & Hellsing Ultimate. Hellsing has been on my I-Want-To-See list for some time, so I decided to finally check it out. I started with Hellsing first, since that was the first of the two that came out, & I'm now currently on Hellsing Ultimate. I did like Hellsing, but people seem to favor Ultimate more, so we'll see how it goes. So far I'm really liking it, & it looks spectacular too.
Before I started feeling poopy again, I did get a chance to go see Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl at the theater on Saturday the 8th. (Hence the Chinese food, which Alan & I had afterwards when our original dinner plan wasn't open) I hadn't seen that movie at a theater since I first saw it 20 years ago, when I was just a high school kid. It was a blast from the past, seeing it in a theater again. I was surprised at how few people there were though. According to the seat map, only 2 other people were in the theater. I saw one of them, but I'm not sure if the person in the way back was there. If so, they were super quiet & I had no idea. It was a lot of fun seeing that at a theater again though. Made me think of being a teen, & it also reminded me of the Pirates fixation I had happening two summers ago. I can't believe that was two weeks ago now that I saw it.
I don't have much else to mention. I just thought I'd jot down a quick update. Jet Cars is a week from today. Fan Expo, just a week after that. It's not a very impressive line-up this year, but I think that'll be better for my wallet. Three cast members from The Office are going to be there, so that'll be my big money sink for the weekend. The following Fan Expo, Chicago, has a LOT more neat guests. They've got several cast members from Back to the Future, a few other cool guests like Randy Quaid, & they even have 2 cast members from The Lost Boys. If those two had been at Fan Expo, I would've been all over that in a heartbeat. Super sad Boston seemed to get the short-end of the stick with guests this year, but again, it's probably for the best.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal announced a couple of attractions this year. There's going to be something for The Last of Us, & they'll also have Stranger Things. I badly want to go, but there's no way I'll be able to convince someone to go with me, & I don't feel confident enough for solo travel. (That, & I feel doing those things would be a lot more fun with someone than just going alone anyway)
I suppose I should get some WoW time in. I actually want to watch more Hellsing tonight, so I want to get the computery stuff done first.
