It's 5:09 pm. I can still see a touch of sunlight hitting the tops of the trees across the street. My room isn't totally dark yet.
The days are getting longer. It's wonderful. We're also less than a month away from daylight savings time beginning, for what's supposed to be for the final time as it becomes the standard time. If the clocks had changed this weekend, that would mean the sun wouldn't be down until after 6 already. That first day with the time change is going to feel so wonderful, & that first work day even better. The first day of work after bumping the clocks ahead always flies by so quickly, & the light we have leaving is SO nice.
We had some warm days this past week, days in the mid to upper 50s. I was able to go to work with just a sweatshirt, which was super nice. No coat. I did work from home Thursday & Friday though. I started feeling off on Wednesday night. I feel much better now, with just a little tickle in my throat that makes me cough here & there, but after oodles of covid tests & even being checked out twice, seems to be just a cold. I was so worried about covid that I forgot the common cold still exists. Unfortunately Eric is feeling under the weather too. I feel bad because I'm not sure who gave it to who, as we got sick within 24 hours of each other. Maybe we picked it up going out to dinner last week. Who knows?
Figures, it would happen when I start feeling much more clingy/needy.
Speaking of dinner dates, Eric & I actually did something for Valentine's Day, which was Tuesday. I left work & we stopped to music bingo for a short bit to get a bite, & then we went to the theater. We saw Titanic on the big screen there. I hadn't seen that in a theater since it was brand new back at the end of 1997 into 1998. I was just 10 years old when it was in theaters, & after its run in theaters, I watched the shit out of the dual-tape VHS. After all these years, I can still remember where the movie would tell you to swap to tape two, so I'm still caught off-guard when the movie just continues at that part.
Anyway. Not much else going on. Just excited that the days are getting longer, & I'm so excited for the clock change in less than a month.
Also: Can it just be May again already so I can start planning a Stranger Things day? I want to do a Stranger Things season 4 binge on May 27th this year, to commemorate one year since Season 4 Volumne 1 dropped. Yesterday made a year since they announced the release dates for the new season, & it got me excited all over again, even though it's not new. I want my S4 snacks & drinks, my baked sour cream & onions lays with my Smirnoff neon lemonades, & I just want to watch it all day. I don't really think I could decorate my place properly for it, but who knows?
Anyway. That's all for now. Back to re-watching Stranger Things & reading fanfiction. I haven't been this hooked on fanfiction since high school, so it's been a wild ride.
