I added you and I hope I'll see you around on MSN (even if I'm hardly home... damn... )

Well, yours was the first comment I read that talked about that. I'd thought of researching the setting but the first book [Birdcage] didn't really require a detailed plan of the setting... the next one would though, because it's set in the Dark Ages, and shows how Kirito became a vampire. ^^ That one I researched thoroughly (mainly about the Plague and the areas it hit)

R... I wouldn't say it's written during a certain period of time, because the setting is purely imaginary (matriarchal house, emperor... don't think we had much of that in Western History) The closest equivalent I can think of is the early 1900s-1930s, as the world begins to industrialize but not yet fully let go of its feudal and romantic notions. This story centers more on the madness that plagues its members, particularly those who think themselves blue-bloods (Aiji's line was from this). And don't be surprised if more than one of them actually turns out crazy. The only one who probably wouldn't is Jun, since he isn't related to the family.

As for the ghost story, now that one I'm doing research (about stuff on ESP and such and such... it's a bit difficult illustrating how the ghosts appear, because Aiji sees them as real, but they don't exist...) I like the whole premise of this story, and after discussing it in detail with one of my friends, I think it might actually be quite chilling. The problem is, I think I'm scaring myself. XD

Cool! (S'all good. I'm going to be at prom this weekend and all that and this week is hell.)

Ah.. I see. That's interesting. I guess it's because pairings tend to be the last thing I look at in a story. Middle Ages? Interesting. Be sure to include hierarchies, lots of them. Those people were obsessed with order, it's kinda amusing. What would Kirito be? A noble? XD;

Ah.. that's the equivalent I thought of.. funny.. because when I read your story, I thought about Wuthering Heights by Bronté. Anyway, nice tangent. It'll be fun to see what Aiji really is. .... Are Kirito and Aiji brothers in the story? >>

Hm... I see. I never really understood the supernatural, so I decided to never really think about it too much. I think I'm a bit too logical when it comes to this... although.. is this going to be anything like The Ring in aspects that Aiji could see Kirito in the mirror and then he comes out of the mirror and scares Aiji shitless? XD; Sorry, it's late, bad joke.

Aaah prom. ^^ Enjoy that. XD

Well, Kirito was a priest; he was dirt-poor and he lived on a hill in the middle of nowhere because practically everyone else in the village had been wiped out by the Plague. If he had any characteristic that marked him a noble by the time he met Aiji, that was because his maker, Hyde, returned for him later on and tried to "civilize" him. Unfortunately, the turning made Kirito crazy. *__*

As for R... well since you asked for the spoiler... yes, they are brothers. When they were children, their mad mother tried to kill Kirito because she thought she had too many sons, and what she needed was a daughter. Ken, the uncle, took him away, leaving only Aiji because when the father returned, he expected to see a son. Aiji would still have some memories, no matter how abstract, of having a brother... but then he too was crazy, so I don't really know. He killed the mother though. ^^

Not so much The Ring, though Kirito's first appearance is through a mirror, and he only appears to Aiji not because Aiji's psychic or anything, but because Aiji has a memory of Kirito... Aaaand, once again, I should be shot for writing (yet another) fanfic where Aiji's a nutcase. ^^;;

Ah.. I see. That makes sense then. Except, is priest the right term? I would think monk would be more appropriate or even father because usually, isn't that associated with Protestantism? If Kirito was a priest, that would mean that he would have some kind of education because monestaries were the only source of education. How would civilizing Kirito make him crazy?

Ah.. So I'm not as dense as I thought. that sounds interesting. I'm curious to how all this ends. Poor twisted family.

Yeah, I'm making an analogy of some really twisted sense. (laugh) It's all right, as long as you don't make him an airhead. e_e; I guess it's all right, I mean, it's your character.

I've thought about whether he should be a monk, but then he'd have to have gone to a monastery, since he's still quite young. Priest is the closest thing I can think of, because that would mean he was educated some... he went crazy when he was turned into a vampire (the Christian priest unable to reconcile the need to feed on another person's blood and all that stuff.) Which was why come the time where he's met Aiji, he's so bloodthirsty... I've got notes somewhere in the mess of my computer about exactly why he went crazy (the sickness, delirium, vampirism and religion and a whole lot of other things) but I can't be bothered to poke around especially when I'm not wearing my glasses. >_>;;

I've a bad habit of not thinking about my stories and just letting the stories write themselves... -_-;;
