Ah, but I like your grungy icons. ^^ I'm not much in creating grunge effects (because I don't know when to stop, so I always end up overdoing grunge effects -_-)
Now the fanfics... ah yes, that's something I'm proud of. XD
You give me way too much credit. (laugh) It's all good. XD Want to trade styles?
Yes, I noticed that you were proud of them. I really didn't expect birdcage to end the way it did.. but maybe I should have seen it coming. God, if I can write like you. XD ... which reminds me.. is R going to get finished. You left Kirito and Aiji in a very funny situation. Oh and your new project sounds exciting.
We should trade styles, but I'm all actually just brushes and textures (and a lot of blend effects). I don't do fancy stuff unless I'm designing webpages. I could point you to my resources and how to make them all blend, but that's really all that I do on PS. *__* But I would like to know how you made those gorgeous Kirito icons. ♥
Birdcage had an ending that I already knew when I began writing the story, which is pretty strange because when I write fics, I usually only have the dimmest idea of how the fic ends. *__* Oh, R is definitely going to be finished because that one already has an ending. I just don't know yet how to write the scene leading up to the climax. XD And as for the new project, well I've been really excited over the idea for quite sometime! ^__^
I'd love it if we do. XD I need to work more on blending because right now, it seems that I only have one style: clean cut or grungy. :) We can trade secrets, just hit me up sometime. ... XD ♥
Ah.. I see, well, it's always good to know the general direction that you are going to go. I liked how you incorperated some Enlightenment thinking - it seemed like Kirito represented Romantic thought in your story. Just that made me hooked, that is, if the writing didn't. xD; I look forward to when [R] gets finished. Actually, that was the first piece I stumbled on while looking at Linda's past work. ^^; Yeah. How long will your new project probably take? I know that you went through [come undone] quickly.
Sure thing! I'll try to post a walkthrough of my icon making... or on YM or MSN, I'm there anytime I'm not at work (sadly isn't often, but I don't sleep anyway, so maybe we'll catch each other. My username on YM is janenuqui, and jillnuqui@hotmail on MSN. ^^)
I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I hadn't even researched much when I wrote Birdcage... I tried getting by with what I remembered from long long ago classes in Western History. -_-;; R will definitely see its end, though that might still be a long way coming. ^^; Come Undone went by so fast because I felt the fanfic practically tearing out of me, and I wouldn't be able to work at all if I didn't finish it. ^^ Ad Infinitum, I hope it doesn't take too long... maybe around 7 chapters spaced about 1 to 2 weeks from each other. I'd planned it sometime ago already too; I just need to gather my wits for writing a ghost story. That's about the only other thing AU that i'd never written before. ^^
Yay. :3 Ah.. I'll get MSN again.. XD You don't sleep? That's not good. I run on sleep.. XD; Anyway, my MSN is ayashi_no_michan@hotmail.com (I made this when I was 14... so yeah. ^^;)
(laugh) I see... I think I read into things too much then. ^^; It's all right though, I think that you did a good job either way. I love that period of time, even though I wouldn't have wanted to be in Paris during the French Revolution. What is [R] suppose to be about anyway? Shamelessly asking for a spoiler. There's this feeling that it was written during the Victorian era..or later, but what's the time period? ^^; I like to visualize a lot.
Wow.. I remember seeing that come out really quickly. Your ghost story sounds good, I'm curious to see how Aiji's personality degenerates and how demented Kirito comes out to be. ^^ Looking forward reading it instead of reading French existentialism.
Cool! (S'all good. I'm going to be at prom this weekend and all that and this week is hell.)
Ah.. I see. That's interesting. I guess it's because pairings tend to be the last thing I look at in a story. Middle Ages? Interesting. Be sure to include hierarchies, lots of them. Those people were obsessed with order, it's kinda amusing. What would Kirito be? A noble? XD;
Ah.. that's the equivalent I thought of.. funny.. because when I read your story, I thought about Wuthering Heights by Bronté. Anyway, nice tangent. It'll be fun to see what Aiji really is. .... Are Kirito and Aiji brothers in the story? >>
Hm... I see. I never really understood the supernatural, so I decided to never really think about it too much. I think I'm a bit too logical when it comes to this... although.. is this going to be anything like The Ring in aspects that Aiji could see Kirito in the mirror and then he comes out of the mirror and scares Aiji shitless? XD; Sorry, it's late, bad joke.
Ah.. I see. That makes sense then. Except, is priest the right term? I would think monk would be more appropriate or even father because usually, isn't that associated with Protestantism? If Kirito was a priest, that would mean that he would have some kind of education because monestaries were the only source of education. How would civilizing Kirito make him crazy?
Ah.. So I'm not as dense as I thought. that sounds interesting. I'm curious to how all this ends. Poor twisted family.
Yeah, I'm making an analogy of some really twisted sense. (laugh) It's all right, as long as you don't make him an airhead. e_e; I guess it's all right, I mean, it's your character.
I've thought about whether he should be a monk, but then he'd have to have gone to a monastery, since he's still quite young. Priest is the closest thing I can think of, because that would mean he was educated some... he went crazy when he was turned into a vampire (the Christian priest unable to reconcile the need to feed on another person's blood and all that stuff.) Which was why come the time where he's met Aiji, he's so bloodthirsty... I've got notes somewhere in the mess of my computer about exactly why he went crazy (the sickness, delirium, vampirism and religion and a whole lot of other things) but I can't be bothered to poke around especially when I'm not wearing my glasses. >_>;;
I've a bad habit of not thinking about my stories and just letting the stories write themselves... -_-;;
