The world was shocked on May 23, 1999, when in Kansas City at the WWF's Over The Edge pay-per-view, Owen Hart fell from the rafters of Kemper Arena to his death before doing a pre-match stunt. The stunt was for Hart, dressed as the Blue Blazer, to come down superhero-like, but had equipment failure with the harness.
