001. A Beautiful Somewhere (part one & part two)
my maddison epic. i worked on it for so freaking long -- MONTHS -- and it's like a little person to me. whenever i read it, i forget that i wrote it, and i just get all.. happy and goodtwisty inside, and i think that's the mark of a good fic. that you can take it and read it outside of the critical analysis that you automatically do in your brain.
002. Head Versus Heart, or Why Life Is Never Easy
this is the first and only fic i've ever written from derek's pov, and i just.. oh, this fic. i love how i used the trick in the beginning of making everyone think it was meredith, but it wasn't. this was my wish for the addison/derek conversation that never really happened. it's smutty, but the smut is so much more than that. and the line “I hate you for breaking me,” she whispers is just perfect, and completely addie, i think. ♥
003. Whoever Said Knowing Was Better Was A Liar
i wrote this for a prompt of meredith becoming addison's patient. i had no fucking clue how to write that without doing a pregnancy arc, but i think that i did it nicely. i love the countdown paragraphs, and the last line. i just love it with lots of hearts.
004. Empty Hearts and Empty Drawers
i think that a lot of people tend to not really delve into how upset i think mark really was when addison left. yes, he cheated on her, but i don't think it was out of revenge or to make her leave; i think it was an almost automatic response to a situation in which he was getting scared. anyway, this is from mark's pov and it's probably the most depressing thing i've ever written. i wrote it in like an hour, and i love the little details i wove into it, like how he chose the airplane seat addison chose, and the details about it.
005. One Night Is Not Enough
aubri grand_delusions totally gets the credit for this idea, because she thought of it. i think i did it justice, and i'm proud of it because i haven't seen any other fics like it out there.
aaand, it's not one of my favorites but Just What the Doctor Prescribed, because seriously. who doesn't love angry!addek!smut. WHO.
ALSO. my cousin had her appointment today, and she's going to have a baby girl!!! we're all super excited, because we really wanted her to have the first granddaughter, since dani has perrin. and now we can buy cute little dresses and bathing suits and eeee. ♥ i'm so excited about it :D
i turned in my english essay today but i couldn't have the peer review because roads were so bad i couldn't go to class, so i hope it's okay. *shrug* googly didn't talk to me, but looked at me. i am attempting to make friends with alex. i have a maf test tomorrow and i'm pretty sure i'll do bad on it. yay.
aaand i really need to start looking for a job. my unemployment is done next week, boo.
