tonight went out to see The Holiday with Sam and Ash and Kidge which was fun, jude law is far too good-looking. and those glasses. guh. we died. anyway. got a text from ross saying it was snowing but we were in bellevue and it was definitely NOT snowing, but then we were driving back to issy and it started getting slushy/rain, and then full on heavy snow. we pulled of the highway and i was escatic over the winter wonderland and i had my head out the window and took pretty pictures and was overjoyed. then we got back to ash's with minimal skidding and/or slippage... one tricky spot, but mostly it was fun watching the truck in front of us skid all over the place. XD. anyway got to ash's, fooled around for a minute, and then followed sam ack to her house in the blazer with ash and josh and kidge.
me and kg squatted in the back of the truck since ash was gonna drop us at kgs [there was no way i was going to a) try to drive the stick shift home, or b) make someone have to climb back up that hill out of my court because i) they'd crash and die, or ii) they'd all have to stay at my house.] and there were no seats back there bubt we were going so darn slow it really didnt matter. anyway. josh helped sam up the hill to her house while we blazed on up.
heh. blazed. Blazer. oh my god the puns.
anyway. then we drove to kg's place and i debated staying the night but with an appointment at 8.30 tomorrow morning [wheeee i am preventing cervical cancer! -- where do they stick the needle, i wonder?] i decided to call my parents and wake them up and have my daddy come get me. so i did and they did but then my dad called from... i dont know the street name but not far from kg's and said he couldnt make it up the hill so we had to walk to him. and we did and that was fun, me and kg. and then me and daddy began OUR trek home, and when we got to that hill on 32nd we got about 2.3 or 3.4 up and then stopped, at which point my dad swore and backed down again. and we took out the manual and found the Traction Control System and turned that on and then trudged [slowly] up that damn hill. it took a bit but we managed and then we were good until we got to 244th, and the road that leads to my house. there was a spot of trouble on that first hill, and we were slipping all over the place and my dad was going from one skid into the next [but he was super awesomely handling it, turn the wheel here, turn it there, dude we're straight again! oh, snap. turn the wheel here, there, straight! genius.] but we got up it, then we were home free; got down that big hill and i thought "if this keeps up there is NO way we are going anywhere tomorrow; that hill is too terrible."
so here i am. frozen, soaked, crappy hair, wet brand new jeans [oh yeah i bought three pairs of jeans today and the happy feet OST] and happy as pie in the sky. got lots of nice pictures and i was so happy it snowed... i hope it sticks around so i can play in it with meghan and kidge and ross and others. wahoo! i dont think shopping at bell square with meghan is gonna happen tomorrow. also, i dont think my appointment will happen, which of course means i will get the Human Papilloma Virus and then get Cervical Cancer. i dont know if those "C"s need be capitalized, but what the hell, eh?
all in all, exceptional day.
thank you to all who were in it.
