badger's flood
so i'm just guessing that everyone's heard about that itty bitty town here in central newfoundland (badger) that is flooded? yes, a neighboring town of mine. plenty of people friends of mine know, and my family knows & stuff have just about everything they own under water. my friend's uncle's house is underwater, his two cars got rushed down the river & his small business in badger is like underwater too. i feel really bad. two teachers at my school are staying with relatives here & their houses are full of water & ice. it's terrible. okay so maybe hardly any of you americans have heard of this 'wreak of havoc', as the local newspaper puts it, but it's a top news story all around the world. finally, this neck of the woods is getting known!! haa. too bad it's in such a bad way. hope everything turns out alright. & for those of you who haven't been checking up on what's happening in this world, go here, here, or here to read about that unimportant town in 'devastation'. i will scan & post some photos from the newspaper that really show how bad it is, if i get a chance tomorrow. at least there weren't any deaths. that's really something to be grateful for. almost everyone from there are staying at the armeries & at churches & people's houses here in our town. hope everything turns out okay.
