So I just got out of the hospital today. I've been having these ridiculous pains in my abdomen since September and when I got them checked out before, the nurse told me that I was making up my pain and that it was "just gas." So I've been suffering with this for a really long time now. The day after Christmas, I woke up in excruciating pain and went to the ER. I found out that I had gallstones, my gallbladder was infected, my liver was failing because I had gallstones stuck in my common bile duct that were preventing my liver from functioning together, and I had pancreatitis. I was immediately admitted, put on a NPO for 3 days (no food or water), and had emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. I wasn't allowed to leave the hospital until today at noon, either.
This shit would happen to me. Wouldn't be a real winter break without a surgery and another drink-less New Years Eve....
