It's the end of the semester. Hopefully, this will be my last all-nighter; I am writing my 3rd-to-last paper.
-One thing I love about winter is the release of new music. There's a lot of great music that just came out; but, there are two CDs that recently came out that are amazing, and I just can't seem to stop listening to. John Mayer-"Continuum"; and BRAND NEW- "The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me..."
1. That John Mayer CD is amazing. It's hands down the best instrumentally assembled, original, and lyrically moving, pertaining to matters of the heart, CD I've heard in such a long time. The guitar work is amazing, I can't explain how much I love it. For the first time since I was a senior in high school, I was inspired to pick up my guitar and play because of it. Get the songs, "Heart of Life," "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room," "Dreaming with a Broken Heart," and "In Repair."
2. Brand New's new CD is out of this world,too-you just have to give it a chance. It's definitely better than the other CDs; but, like me, I'm sure no one wants to let go of "Your Favorite Weapon." There's a bigger picture articulated, and meant to be heavily examined on this one, and it's not Christ; it's human nature; particularly, how we deal with love, death, loss, and the concept of how what we do effects life after death if there is one (I believe there is). However, if you aren't a fan of criticizing and examining music, it's still great to listen to. My favorite songs from it are, "Sowing Season," "Jesus Christ," "You Won't Know," and "Untitled."
