alright shweet. while i’m typing this it is about two o’clock in the morning and i am running on a hazelnut coolata from dunkin donuts and some sugar from the muchkins we ate in the car ride home. tonight was the sugarcult, hawthorne heights, hopesfall, anberlin and mêlée show. mêlée was filling in for head automatica who cancelled their showing with the take action tour. i hate mêlée, end of story. tonight was the best night i’ve had in a long time. day started out slow like any other… band, gym (volleyball was INSANE… and i hate ian a lot lately), thennn it was german, with the “schnei” (snow)… we chanted that out and frau greenaway got pissed… twas funny. then i had a band lesson and jules complimented the second altos on how well we were doing, and how enthusiastic we were. the festival for band monday is going to be amazing. i’m really excited. but anyway back to my story. so then it was math, quiz, rather easy and all that. and then lunch… nothing interesting. hmmm… except nicknames but oh well. then i had english and we rehearsed for romeo and juliet skits on monday. i’m juliet, brian is romeo. its chill, totally. i’m amazed by the difficulty of the history test. i was out for a day and fell so far behind that i bullshitted the entire essay. oh fuck it. so then i hung out with sandee-ruh, megan, ali, and nick for a few minutes after school. then sandra and i walked around for a bit, and i went home, then got ready quick with cool eye shadow and liner and then we got on the road to pick up bri for the show. my mom forgot the tickets so i had to run back into the house, pick up the ticks and then go to bri’s. we got on the road, ate food at wendy’s… brought the fries and ketchup in the car and then ketchup got everywhere. it was funny. then the show, ohhh the show… the moment you’ve all been waiting to hear about…
listened to start static first, then silence in black and white. the ride wasn’t that bad at all, passed by some places caitlin and me went driving. i called her to tell her and then the ride was just bri and me talking forever. and our mums talking. we got to starland, parked the car, and waited for tooooo long to go into the show. we saw two limos full of whores pull up and drop off these skanky 12 year olds. i was sick to my stomach. then nikki got a ticket and came in with us, and we bought merch first. then we went in and sat on the couch until after mêlée and about halfway through hopesfall. i had to urge to see either band, and neither did the girls. so we just chilled on the couch and then saw dee. dee came with us to the back of the crowd for anberlin and then nikki and i went to the other side of a circle pit and then by the time we turned around, bri and dee were gone. so nik and i just stayed in the crowd and hooked up with kristen and travis until hawthorne heights. then nikki and i stayed between two moshpits the entire time that hawthorne played. i met the man i’m positive i’m destined to marry. he bumped into me hard and i didn’t realize how amazing he was until i turned and glared at him with all i had, and he gave me the most genuine smile. i smiled back and we talked about going into the pit, he said “we” should go in… i was like, “we??” and he said, “yea you and me.” so we danced, and then i lost him with one last smile. and he was gone. i wanted to cry. so then dee and rita and her drunk friend left, and bri me and nikki went back into the crowd for sugarcult. bri got us to the second row left center. and we rocked out hard, i got such good pictures that i’m sure they’ll come out great. the bouncer was hilarious and he was playing duck duck goose with our heads in there. after a crowdsurfer would fall on our heads, he’d smooth our hair for us. the show was amazing, i can’t even say enough about how great it was.
band sightings were really good this time. in the beginning of the show, i had a conversation about caffeine and sleep with the guitarist/screamer of hawthorne heights. he was really nice. another member of hawthorne was there behind the merch counter and we were chilling for a little bit. after the show we met three of the guys from anberlin, and i had them sign my shoes, ticket, and my arm, along with the screamer from hawthorne again. i got pics with two guys from hawthorne, and i got a hug and signature from the lead singer of hawthorne heights. his hug was so tight and he told us he was glad we came. it was really really really cool. i can’t even stand how fucking chill it was. my shoes and my arm will wear off, but i still have the ticket signed.
well now its 2:45 and i think i’m ready to go to bed. goodnight everyone, and thanks for reading. i’ll be sure to scan the pictures when i get them developed and upload them in an entry. ♥ ♥.
love, samantha…
