Nothing much to say here.. Xmas holidays have started finally and it looks like i may have a decent week coming up. but last night was one of the best nights ive had in a long long time. it was the night that Dissection (the rebirth) would be playing in glasgow in the barfly. I met up with Stewart about half 6 and got the 7 o clock X1 in to George Square got off.. got some dynamite.. was pretty annoyed because of all these random people bieng rude and stuff but never mind on that. We got to the barfly 10 minutes before they let us in and when we did get in i bought 2 Watain cds then about 5 minutes later ritual music started playing and i knew this was the coming of the kult of Watain..and yes they enter the stage 2 minutes later clad in leather, spikes..ripped tops with the sleeves got off..blood and corpsepaint bullits and chains.. Real blood 2.. they smelt quiet bad and i was in awe.. 2 see a band stand before you like this is an experience like none other for me anyway.. they played about a 40 minute set and had perfect sound and it was a good atmosphere which i enjoyed very much. After they had finished playing me and Stewart went upstairs to the bar type lounge area and sat down for 10 minutes and i said hello to Murphy the fellow Destroyer 666 lover \m/ went to the toilet and then went back down and seen Lord Tuor from Argonath and bought a ticket off him for Argonaths gig on wednesday at the cathouse..that should be good :) About 20 minutes later everything was basically ready for Dissection to come on..and We could see them at the side of the stage.. They had these Inverted steel crosses at each side of the drumkit and they put incense sticks on them and then dissapeared to the side of the stage again and this was very moving experience.. i seen Jon and Seth Teitan holding hands in the air like true brothers .. if you could just imagine seeing a band doing something like this before there gig and music is as big a part of life as it is mines this was a moment which appealed to me very much.. i had a feeling of true happyness at that point and excitement which made me realise at that point i live for moments like this. Then they came on to a welcome i have never experienced at a gig before it was so awesome and then they just pulverised the place with a very long set playing all there best songs so perfectly and the sound was stunning aswell.. Jon had great Stage presence and got right up close to the fans. He had blood on his head and i dont know what he did..but i think Seth teitan had blood on his when he came on to the stage..maybe they banged heads before the gig :) i will never know. I just couldnt beleive the crowds reaction in places it was so moving .. we were all like a band of brothers. and yeeeee! they played Heavens Damnation which was the song i listened to right before i left the house so i was really pleased when that came on. At the end of there concert the crowd persuaded them to come on for an extra song!! all in all the set must have lasted an hour and a half and yes it was the best gig i have ever been too..i shook jons hand twice and then i we got a lift home..that be all for just now thanks
