Our plans for Spike have to be shelved at this point. A memo's been circulated from The Senior Partners, regarding the death of the head of our Las Vegas branch.
That creates a power vacuum. There is, of course, an interim director in place, name of Elsa Stern. Shouldn't be difficult to search out a history of Ms. Stern's indiscretions, and parade them in front of the Senior Partners.
This time next week, one of us could be promoted to run the Special Projects division inside the Las Vegas office. I'd really prefer it be me.
