I figured out the difference between socialism, communism, fascism, and nazism today in my class at school. I thought it was rather interesting because I've never been given an understandable difference.
If you're interested, read on for further knowledge. It's called the "Cow Economics". It's posted on a bunch of websites for a joke but it helped me understand. Don't reallly know why I'm posting this anyway.
CAPITALISM:
You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.
SOCIALISM:
You're a farmer and you have 2 cows.
Your neighbor farmer has no cows.
The government takes one of your cows and gives it to the neighbor.
Equality
FASCISM: radical right wing (conservative) party.
You're a farmer with 2 cows.
The government takes both cows away from you and sells you back the milk, meat, and other cow parts.
COMMUNISM: radical left wing (liberal) party.
You're a farmer and you have 2 cows.
Your neighbor has no cows.
That's too bad. The gov't takes both cows away and gives you milk, meat and other cow parts in exchange.
NAZISM:
You're a farmer with 2 cows.
The government takes them away from you, feasts on them, and shoots you.
