I'm an incredibly insecure person; if I wasn't so aware of how crazy my actions were, I'd swear I was actually crazy. Last night was the first night I've found myself with nothing to do since I arrived in Boston. I ended up texting and calling almost everyone I knew at least 3 times--it was pathetic. I hope Rowan doesn't find it to be pathetic, but I have that layer of shame that makes me feel like I just come off as not good enough. I know that by doing this, I gave him the upper hand. Dating is a game; it's sick but true. It's give & take; it's phone tag; it's ugly, and it's hard to do. It's like a constant tug of war, always having to tug hard or let go a little to keep either of the persons from falling in the pit of mud.
I spent last night watching a documentary on public access on video games, it was fairly interesting. I bought myself some dulce de leche caramel ice cream & diet coke and basked in the glory of my couch potatoness. Then I watched Saturday Night Live and a few episodes of Family Guy until Maggie came home with her Unitarian friends. I made myself some good night tea, let them borrow my flannel sheets and a few pillows, and went to bed listening to The Blood Brothers.
I got a full night's rest and after talking to Maggie for a bit decided to head here: The Virgin Megastore. This is where my wireless card pays for itself because I am free to mooch as much as I want here until it closes. The view from the window here in the cafe on the third floor is breathtaking. I hope Rowan hangs out with me this week; there's a movie Friday night at Coolidge that would be awesome to see.
