I thought this birthday would be miserable. But, it really wasn't anywhere near the vicinity of misery. I had so much fun and I felt like I never had before. I always felt like I was alone. Like no one was a real friend (despite Laura and Andrew), like no one cared for me one way or the other. But this birthday has opened my eyes to the fact that some people do care.
All in all, it was a great birthday. I had a blast and was surrounded by really great people. I was able to keep my mind off certain things that have been dampening my life, and I am so grateful for that.
It's helped me regroup. I needed that.
