we watched a video about the kkk in history today.
the students were appalled at the attitudes of this group;
they were disgusted that these gatherings and practices are legal in this country.
are these not the same people who believe all arabs should be killed?
i could have sworn they almost brought me to tears of frustration
after they blatantly stated they didn't find deprivation of homosexuals' rights unethical.
(these are the people who don't feel ill about hate crimes against gays.)
the most upsetting thing about their apathy is that, i've come to realize, many people only care if it direct threatens themselves.
christians and jews hadn't become dismayed until they heard the words of the klan directed toward people of their own religion.
i really don't know.
