the elusive livejournal update has appeared once again! I pretty much feel no need to write in this thing anymore, as I've realized that this trusty journal basically serves as my outlet for bitching and ranting, usually about my terrible love life or being stressed out. however, due to my love life being pretty much incredible and having minimal stress as of late, the journal has gone by the wayside.
summer is going well, only 37 more days until I move back to Ithaca, for what definitely looks like a fabulous year. I am enjoying my time at home though. a few things mention-worthy: my concert extravaganza 2 days with the lovely Ms. Ferrantino. July 7th was our trip to NYC to meet up with Chris and his friends and the ROCKAPELLA concert. mere words fall short of describing such an event. those 5 men are absolute gods, and then put on an AMAZING show. needless to say, we loved it. what we perhaps didn't love was the hours upon hours of waiting to see Rockapella. I learned a few new card games and we sat around for hours, but it ended up being worth it because we were feet away from the stage and it was fabulous. definitely a great day with the boy, the best friend and some awesome new friends. thennn Mariane and I got up the next morning and drove down to King of Prussia for a day of shopping, which, unbelievably, was her first time to the mall. tragic, I know. but she had a successful trip, and we then went into Philly to the Mann Center to see the Philadelphia Orchestra. not quite Rockapella, but also enjoyable. they played tons of John Williams, and my dear Star Wars/Harry Potter obsessive companion was in her element. finished off the day singing Rent the entire way home to keep myself awake. speaking of Rent, Jess and I decided today that Rent is not only our life-changing musical, it's a lifestyle. 11/11/05 people.. get excited. :D
in other news, I'm doing a bunch of shows, as usual. feel free to come see them, because that'd be fun!

"Evita"
a Music Box production, it opens the weekend of the 22nd and runs 3 weekends.
from what I've seen it's gonna be a great show, so you should check it out.
however, I'm subbing as an accompanist for 2 performances-

so come then if you happen to be my friend ;)
"Little Shop of Horrors"

tickets will probably be $5 again, it's going to be fab and the last thing I do this summer, so come see that! and yes I realize Keystone isn't that close, but that's a minor detail. come anyway!
and that's my shameless self-publicity, but I'd of course love to see anyone and any of the aforementioned events :D
for now I'm off to hang out with Zack who's finally home from Florida!
