quick recap:

Jun 03, 2005 17:14

the show's over! we survived and everyone performed super well! I was really quite pleased. I got a lot of really great compliments from people that came to see it, both on my playing and the show in general. especially from Michael Gallagher, which really meant a lot coming from someone who has done and seen so much theatre in his years. I am glad it's over though, because now i can start working on my new piano rep for next semester, which is looking awesome/crazy.

Chris came to see the show, which was soo awesome, and I had a great weekend with him. theeennn on Tuesday, I made my treck back to upstate New York to visit my Cail-Bear!! after a 3 hour drive to Campbell, Cail and I set out with atleast 4 sets of directions to Syracuse and a trip to the Carousel Mall. we shopped a bit and then headed to Oneida to pick up the lovely Samantha Sutfin. we found her successfully, but only after my Camry got hit by some rotten piece of fruit thrown by some NY hoodlums as soon as I got off the thru-way. after much swearing and anger at the upstate hicks, we found Sam's house and drove yet farther north to Turning Stone casino, where we had dinner and gambled very unsuccessfully. we took Sam home and left to head back around 10. it was a relatively easy drive back, until The Possum. so I'm driving on 17 going an easy 75mph when Cail yells about a possum in the road in front of me. in an effort to not hit the poor ugly rodent I swerved to avoid it. well, that resulted in my car going completely crazy and fishtailing out of control while a car was coming in the opposite direction. I panicked but somehow my car stopped going crazy and we didn't die, although this time I really thought we were. on Wednesday I went to see the winery Cail works at, which was very cool, and then we went to Hammondsport, NY, which is this super small town with a street of adorable little Cape Cod-esque shops and restaurants, and the GORGEOUS Lake Keuka. it was incredible, and I've decided I'm going to have a summer cottage on one of the lakes in upstate NY. then we went to Corning and the Corning Musuem of Glass, which was actually awesome. I met the infamous Ryan and Cail's friend/neighbor Steve, and we hung out and ate pizza hut, drank smirnoff and watched THE WORST Will Ferrell movie I have ever seen, Old School. I went to bed early because of a sinus headache, and woke up to what would be a terrible, terrible day. so Caileigh gets up and goes to work, and I leave around 10. in an effort to be quiet so her dogs wouldn't try to run out the door, I had my bags and went out and closed the door behind me. the second I closed it I realized the door locked behind me.. and my keys were sitting on the kitchen counter. in a very typical Aimee-move, I laughed hysterically and called Cail, while I sat like a hobo on my suitcase in her driveway, locked out without my keys. eventually I decided there must be a spare key, so I looked around and finally found one, let myself in, got my keys and left. not even a half hour past Cail's, I'm cruising along and pass a state trooper going 83 in a 65. the bastard pulled me over and gave me a ticket. THEN, as if that weren't bad enough, my sobbing and hysterical self (because I thought I was going to lose my car insurance since my mom and I have had our share of mini-accindents), my car wouldn't start for about 10 minutes. eventually it did and I went home after my traumatic morning.

now I'm home, chillin, bored. but Monday I'm going to Long Island to see Chris until Thursday and I cannot waaaaiiit :D then next Saturday it's Hilton Head for a week, but THEN when I get back I need to start hanging out with people more now that I'm not busy with the show. soo let's make things happen.
