Time for a change.
I'm changing my life. I've sat around for so long waiting for something else to come along and change it for me and now I realize I have to do it myself. I made a list of all the things I want to do and I've made some life decisions.
1. I'm going to learn a new language. I've decided on German, I've always wanted to learn German and I can talk to Lisa and it will be easier to learn and remember if I actually use it.
2. I'm going to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. I want to be a part of something that I feel is important, I want to make a difference in peoples lives.
3. I'm going to start rollerskating at least twice a week and I'm going to try out for roller derby in January.
4. I'm going to continue my education in the medical field and if I'm not married by the time I'm done with school then I'm going to join the Peace Corps. I still might do it even if I'm married, but 27 months is just kind of a long time to be away from your husband, but maybe I'll marry someone who will come with. The chances of me being married by then are pretty bad so I'm probably going.
That is where I'm at now.
What I would REALLY like to do is work with Invisible Children in Africa. The child soldiers are the most upsetting thing ever to me. I think if I go in to the Peace Corps I would request to be sent to Uganda.
