black as sea

When you watch videos late night on VH1, you begin to feel somewhat disgusted. First, they're only shown at that time. Second, half of them are repeats from nights ago. Third, all this piano-band shit is starting to grate at my ears: what happened to the likes of good music? And the only video they will show that's worth anything is NIN's Only, but then again this is the only "VH1-friendly" video. Plus, I think this song has infected everyone. It's like their new "closer," but censored.

VK has sunk in its ship. Hopefully there will be some sort of division between what is shit --oshare-- and what is actually good. But leave it to the Japanese to "milk the cow" and explode into a craziness of obsession with 'cute' effeminate boys.

And now Kanoma is having a cruise, which sounds like so much fun. But I'm waiting for them to bitch about the price. :)

Just finished reading Wild Swans. It was amazing. I absolutely love China now, though like all the other countries I've lived in/read about, I fear China as well. 所で, I do recommend the book.

The ground seemed to move without him; he tried to catch up with a pathetic run, but his steps were either too short or long. He falls over. The sand surrounds him. Dark eyes narrowed at each particular grain, and then his gaze rose to watch the sea slide itself over the beach --- like lovers who could never quite get used to one another. A small smile breaks through, and crawling ensues. He gets nearer and nearer, and he realizes what's between teeth: the salt of the air, a few broken seashells, and something slightly chewy. He coughed. He faltered, and was now elbow-deep in algae colored ocean.

"別に君でもいいのさ"

There was laughter in the air. The people passing by gazed at him wide-eyed and mouths open. With a ghastly turn and stroking of the sea, he ignored their pointing and perception-twisting. The boats were coming in. Fresh corpses of fish, shellfish, and the like.

Now, on my way to translate little Towa and do some homework.
