Finally home from our week long stay at the hospital.
The baby is perfect. :) Her name is Kara Lynn Burgos. She was born on June 30th weighing in at 8 lbs 12 oz, and is 21 inches long. Apgar scores were 8,9. The delivery was wonderful, but I had a ton of complications afterwards. I lost a lot of blood - to the point where I passed out and had to be put on oxygen and receive 5 units of blood. My blood pressure sky rocketed and my body dumped all it's magnesium and potassium. I had to see a kidney specialist while in the hospital who told me that I had gestational hypertension. Anyway, the baby is perfect and healthy and that's all that matters. Breast feeding is proving to be extremely challenging, but I'm not giving up on it. I'll post pictures and a birth story sometime tomorrow, as soon as I have the time.
