Far be it for me to give people excuses or make assumptions about people I've never met. Some friends and acquaintances I have take pain medication. My cousin's boyfriend, who was hospitalized very recently, used to smoke (weed) several times every day because he said he functioned better with it. The friends who take pain medications say they can't function without it, they hurt too much without it, etc.
I hate to say it, but I feel like that's nothing more than a cop out. It's an excuse for being lazy.
Casey, please don't have your kid in that kind of environment. If your mom takes pain medication all the time, passes out from being stoned, smokes in the house, and falls asleep with lit cigarettes... that's not at ALL safe for your kid.
If there's ANY way I can help, let me know. We have someone staying on our couch already at my apartment, so at the moment, I can't offer a place for you and Jose to stay here in Gainesville, but I'll do whatever I can to help you in any way possible.
Trust me hun, I agree with you completely on the subject. Jose and I are both looking for a solution to the situation, unfortunately those things take time, and money. =/
Ugh Casey that's a really bad situation. If I had a job I would get a small apartment and help you guys out :[ I remember my dad saying he wish he knew people we could rent out our extra two bedrooms to. But that also requires rent money :[
