busy busy busy...
so all moved into my new apartment with jade. i'm glad to have a roommate this go around... she is hella chill and we definitely get along well. this summer will be sooo sweet when i turn 21 so she can show me all the good bars and clubs in portland.
today is my first day off from work since the 26th of april. yeah, been a tad busy since gettin the second job at wild oats(70 hours a week of work). i've been busting my ass for them tho and the manager of my department has given me full time which means i can finally go down to one job and still be financially secure.
this is what i have worked my ass for, for sooo long. my ultimate goal is to still go back to school within the next year probably but for now i'm satisfied with one full-time job. i'll be sad to leave starbucks tho... not neccessarily sad to leave the place i work at but the job itself is kinda my passion. i love coffee, i love making the drinks, love giving people new drink ideas and having them walk out excited that they aren't limited to the double tall mochas and grande vanilla nonfat lattes that i constantly hear ordered anymore. who knows, maybe when i go back to school i'll work on a degree that could possibly land me a job with starbucks in the corporate aspect of it. ya never know.
i'm slowly workin myself out of debt too. long past electric bills are now taken care of and after a few months i'll be caught up with the old comcast bills. once i'm cleared of my debts, i plan on saving for a trip to ireland. that's the vacation that would actually have me returning rested. it's such a beautiful country and i want so badly to experience it all in person.
lastly, my court problems are mostly through with. i had my last court date a couple weeks ago and it all ended with $280 in fines and the misdemeanor on my record can be erased after two years.
bottom line... things are goin very well for me right now and for the first time in a long long time, i'm proud of myself and satisified with my efforts.
