Dear Italia,
It's been real. Thanks for the good times, thanks for the kind of awkward ones too. Most of all thanks for making me realize what I take for granted in the states, like not having to copy my passport and internet points because I might be a "terrorist" or readily available Thai food (or really readily available anything but Italian food). Thanks for the nice weather, the gelato, the over-crowded buses. Thanks for the creepy men you breed who stare even when I acknowledge that they're staring with a "look I'm looking at you looking at me" glance. Thanks for Oliva, Cosimo, Pasquale and my Italian teacher Massimo. Thanks for attracting nice people into my life, thanks for allowing me to realize the not-so-good for me ones. Thanks for threating to strike tomorrow and not let me go home, but you got my back and pulled through by unofficially revoking your unofficial strike. I liked you, you were cute. I'll miss you. My walk to school today was bitter sweet.
