I know... I failed epically at uploading. :[ I'm sorry! But I promise that "Going!" and "No More Pain" will be uploaded soon!!
I have had a really busy summer, so I actually haven't logged in to LJ since late May or early June. I went on
jone_records and received a slight jab in the ribs when I read news of Akanishi Jin leaving KAT-TUN. I saw this coming... long ago. I saw him slowly inching away from the group... becoming more uninterested in group activities. He didn't fit in at all. It was really sad to watch, and at the same time it pissed me off immensely! I would always think "WTF Jin, be happy!!" but now I realize... he probably never really was happy. KAT-TUN wasn't his thing...
I am not a Jin fan... nor am I a Jin hater. I have taken an indifferent stance toward him since the beginning... until he came back from the U.S. I finally saw how talented he was... and liked his talents and musical style. However, I hated him when he was with KAT-TUN. He seemed to be a bit of an eyesore for me. I hated how he didn't even look like he tried to fit in. I hated how he always seemed so mean and indifferent toward his bandmates. I even hated his shaggy hair and how it never really changed.
But now it's all different. I realized that I wouldn't be happy either, if I was so different from everyone else. If I didn't really feel like what I was doing was the right thing for me. I feel sorry for him, and how he had been trying and trying to make it work. It's hard to act like you enjoy yourself when you really don't and you're wondering about the other possibilities that you have.
So does no Jin mean no more KAT-TUN?? OF COURSE NOT! Although Jin had major roles in the vocal composition of the group, the other members are definitely competent enough to make up for the loss of Jin. In fact, let's take this as a chance for the other talented members to truly shine. Maru, Koki, Ueda... and even Junno hahaha! And Kame can continue being wonderful. :] I think without Jin, the group will still survive, because they are still extremely diverse! They're still just as fresh and exciting as they were when Jin was around...
For all of you KAT-TUN fan friends... I hope you'll continue supporting KAT-TUN and Akanishi Jin... :]
