Last night Alex's best friend Adam surprised us with his a visit! He returned from his deployment in Afghan/Europe a few months ago and is preparing to move to Austin. We drank brews, watched movies, played pool, and reef'd. hah. Excellent hangings outs. I love how Alex is so happy when he's surrounded by his besties. Makes me happy.
On a less exciting note - we woke up this morning to find that our front door was wide open (i guess from the wind, and we forgot to lock it). Initial freak out instinct was "Where's Gus!?!?!" (our poodle). I immediately put on shoes and run out and start looking for him, and imagining the worst. Alex calls me back in and he's found him under our bed. Nice little good morning wake up! Alex leaves for work and I drift back to sleep. When I wake up I somehow start thinking about Mow-Mow (our kitty). I call Alex and start freak-out part 2. I took Gus outside with me and start looking for kitty... I call his name and I can hear him meowing. After repeated calling he emerges from underneath a bush just outside our apt. Safe and sound... Now we're all cuddling on my bed, basking in the glory of togetherness and thankfully not mourning a ravage murder by apartment wolves.
Tonight is our first bike meat-up in Denton :)
Now... it's time to cram for my history of psych exam!
