It's been quite a while livejournal. So much has changed. I'm older and wiser, I've rid myself of worthless people, I've become a mother.
I think that last one has been the most amazing and significant thing I can mention. It was very unexpected getting pregnant. Call it two careless 20-somethings having a good time. We sure did pay for what we did. But in all reality I wouldn't take it back for anything.
Lily Margaret Walker-Malmquist was born at 10:37am on January 27th, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Virginia. I will never forget what it was like to know that I was about to become a mother when they said it was time to push. The labor was intense, I've never felt pain like that. I do suggest getting the epidural; I was in-love with the doctor. 30 minutes of pushing and there she was. Sitting on my chest. I gave her a little kiss slime and all before they whisked her away to get cleaned up and checked. She was so perfect. 8 pounds 10 oz, 21.5 inches long. She will be tall just like her dad.
She is now 6 weeks old. Time has just flown by, I'm going back to work next week and I think the hardest part of it all will be leaving her with the babysitter. Thankfully it's family. Her fathers aunt. But being with her 24/7 for 6 weeks, you kind of get a routine. God I pray I can stay busy at work. All I will be thinking about is her, and is she ok.
Sleep time.
