midnight drive.
My weekend was so busy (not 'work busy' more like 'fun busy'). I spent all of Saturday out with my Mom and sisters and all of Sunday sewing.
First, we went downtown so that G could drop her violin off for something or other. lol. I should probably know why we we're at the violin shop but I wasn't really paying attention. Then we went to my new favorite fabric store, High Fashion Fabrics, ( ♥) so that I could get zippers. I ended up buying 2 and 1/2 yards of khaki denim. I only wanted 2 yards but there was a flaw on half the roll so they gave me an extra half of a yard for free. Awesome. :) It can't hurt to have too much fabric.
After the fabric store, we went to the Half Price bookstore and I got a few books off of my
booklist (
Lucky by Alice Sebold and
Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire). I got a few other books too and ended up spending waaaay outside of my budget. I guess I don't need new clothes if I have new books though. Haha.
Everyone was pretty hungry after that, so it was off to get dinner and to get ready for the real outing of the day...the Showboat Drive-In (!!!).

We paid for the Bedtime Stories and Yes Man double feature but only stayed for Bedtime Stories. It was such a cute movie! A lot of Adam Sandler movies are really 'take it or leave it' for me, but I enjoyed this one for what it was. As long as you expect the typical movie from him, it'll be fine. It was a little toned down for kids, of course, but his humor was pretty much the same.
I love the drive-in. It was so much fun to sit in the car and be able to watch a movie without having to go into a theater. If you don't already know, I'm a total lazy bum and any chance that I can take to just sit on my butt and not get out the car, I'll take it. It's sad but really true.
After all of the fun Saturday, I spent all Sunday sewing so that I can update
my shop (which is a different kind of fun altogether). I haven't really out anything new in there for a few months (and my goal is to have at least five new items there before the middle of the year so I might as well start now).
I've been really wanting to make a few coin purse/clutch type things and now I had all of the materials and time.
I LOVE them! I'm already planning on making a few (yes, a few. not one) for myself. It took a lot of willpower to give them all away.
