Wow...

I don't even remember the last time I updated this thing. Too bad, really.... LJ was always some fun.

Sooo what have I been up to lately? Well, I've been doing this part time thing at my mom's work that has been slowly driving me insane. It's great because I only work 3 days a week and I get paid $10/hr, but I never have anything to do, and 80% of the time I'm bored out of my mind. I don't think I've ever checked as much myspace, read so much news and gossip, or read my horoscope so many times. Today is another one of those wonderful days where I had one project to work on this morning that took me 20 minutes, and another in the afternoon that'll probably end up taking the same amount of time.
I guess the truth of the matter is, I just work to fast. That's what all the adults tell me, always complaining that I can do their jobs 3 times faster. Well, I'm amazing. That's all I can say about it.

Other than working, I don't know that I've been doing anything worth mentioning (I'm going to mention it anyway, of course). I've done a bit of traveling, a bit of goofing off... I've been to Pennsylvania twice - once for my cousin Deanna's wedding and once for a family reunion. I went down to Ohio right after I got out of school to visit Natalie in Athens - always a great time when Natalie is involved! I was planning another trip down to Mason but things just didn't work out - too expensive! Nick and I made a trip over to New York (upstate, not the city) to visit my cousin Matt and to go to the Oatka festival which is held in my hometown of LeRoy, birthplace of JellO! The following week the fam and I headed up to Canada for a week with some relatives full of reeelaaaxation.

I managed to land myself in another relationship this summer, although this one is conciderably better than the last one, hands down. Nick and I have been together for 4 months and things are going really well. We're polar opposites so we've had our differences (a couple times) but we were able to get through them, so that's good.

I've also managed to pay off my car, along with most of the money I owe my parents for God-knows-what. I still have something like $300 to go, which will have to be put on hold for a while, considering my income flow will be put to a halt as soon as I get back up to school. I managed to neglect looking for a job in Kalamazoo all summer, and I know I'm going to regret it once I get up there.

Speaking of, I leave to go back up to school on the 31st!! The Bro and I are heading up that morning in The Pickle packed as full as we can get it with all my stuff (I'm living in an on-campus apartment this year - no dorm life for me!!). My parents will be driving up the next day with anything that didn't fit in my car to help me settle in, buy me groceries, etc. I'm really excited to have that first day with Lee though - we don't really get a lot of brother-sister time to bond and whatever. I can't wait to show him around the city and buy him Chinese food that delivers until 3am (Lee is greatly amused by things like that). [Hopefully] we're going to have a really great time and I know that when they all leave after spending the day(s) together I'll cry and then be left alone to get used to having my very own place. Eek.

Over all I had a fantastic summer. There are many things that I wish I had done, but I'm not complaining. Now I'll just have to make up for my lack of doing things - there will be much traveling in the year to come! Or maybe not even traveling, but at least getting out and doing something once in a while. I'm spending my last 8 days at home working, shopping, and spending as much time with the friends I'm leaving behind as possible.

Well, that's all I've got for now. Maybe you'll hear from me again in the next few months - by then I might have something interesting to talk about. Until then, I'm off to my sophmore year at college and a totally new chapter of my life - New friends, new faces, new places, and all that good stuff.

Wish me Luck!
