My vacation was awesome last week. We did so much stuff, I just wish I could have done more. This weekend we're supposed to go look at baby stuff (strollers, cribs and all that junk). I am so tired of being pregnant. I have just over 2 months left to go. I really just want to pop the baby out and start feeling normal again. anyways here are some pictures.
These are some of the fishies from Hanauma Bay. Last time I was too scared of the fish (because they were BIG) but this time I enjoyed swimming around them.
Here we are overlooking Hanauma Bay. It is a really neat spot even though its super tourist-y.
We visited this Buddhist Temple that is a replica of some Temple in Japan.
We went to Waimea Falls. We basically hiked about 1 3/4 mile up to this waterfall. The lifeguard there was a nazi! I didn't go in the water because it was supposedly slippery to get in.
We kayaked about 4 miles out to these two little islands that are bird sacntuaries in Kailua. The islands looked a lot closer than they actually were.
This nice man told us about a great spot where there a lot of turtles. We basically had to go into someone's backyard (which turns into a beach) to be able to swim with them. In Hawaii there are no private beaches.
On our last day we went to Dole Plantation. The maze was pretty neat and their icecream was delicious. We got suckered into buying a pineapple knife. We also hit up the the North Shore and the Laie Temple. The North Shore was pretty packed due to the spectator watching. The waves can get as big as 20-25 feet and so there were a lot of surfers out in the water. The Laie Temple was neat. The had an interesting visitor's center. I even found a BOM in Aymara! Thats an old language in South America and is still spoken in parts of Peru.
