illegal immigration

geez i love this song so much. i can never get tired of it.

anyways okay here is my take on this whole illegal immigration debate. and lets make it clear that were talking about ILLEGAL immigration. I worked on the day of "The Great American Boycott" because in our office we absolutely had to. Most of the chicks said they would have skipped out to support the protest but I wouldn't have. For one thing I won't support anything says American Boycott... if you really want to call it that then all the protesters should have gone back to their country of origin. I think its absolutely stupid to say you want to stay in the counrty yet you boycott it.
There is nothing wrong with immigration as long as it is legal. Heck I am here legally and I am a contributing citizen of society. My whole family waiting over 15years to get here legally and they are succesful as Doctors, engineers, nurses heck even as apartment managers geez. What I don't agree with are these illegal immigrants coming over here and demanding the right to stay when they don't contribute crap. They might pay taxes but thats with an illegal social security number plus they can't possibly make more than the average poverty level (unless their dealing drugs) so they get most to all their money back anyway. People say that illegals don't impact our economy but in fact they do. they're kids are in school, they use the emergency rooms and don't pay for it. Tax payers pay for all of that.
I'm also sick of all these illegals comeplaining to me about howthey can't get their families ahead in life. Does it ever occur to them that they're breaking the law and thats why its hard for them to keep a steady job? Does it also occur to them that when you refuse to learn english it drastically limits the types of job you can get?
Plus is it fair that these people can stay in this country when there are thousands of people waiting in their home conutrys waiting to get a greencard so they can come and live here. Theres a reason why the US only allows 75000 greencards to be given out each other and thats because they want to make sure they're allowing people that are likely to contribute to society.

I know that these people are trying escape the harships in their country but if we're going to base who we let in the US on who is the most neediest it definately wouldn't be the illegals that are here now. It would be people from places like Africa. Besides people need to make positive changes in their own country because America cannot possibly be a safe haven for the people of every single third world country; they couldn't possibly fit here.

I heard some people say that California was originally Mexico and so Mexicans have a right to be here. Hey that would be fine with me. Once it gets converted into what is Mexico now people are going to be trying to get into Oregon and Washington. What will be their reasoning then? Besides if we're going to talk about who this land really belongs to it wouldn't be Mexicans it would be Native Americans.

Protesters also say that America was based on immigrants and I agree they were. No one has anything against legal immigration but the current law is that anyone without permission to be in the country is an illegal immigrant. Thats the law and the US has the right to uphold that law.

Truth is that most people who are for illegal immigration are selfish, stubborn and probably know that they're worng but don't care because it puts "their people" ahead.
