Can't you read!?!
Finally I am home after an eventful day.
I got up at 5:45 this morning only to run late and get to ATDC at 6:30 when we were supposed to leave at 6:30. Oh well. The bus was late thank goodness. Trip up there was tiresome. I listened to an ipod all the way there. Eventually I keeled over and slept a bit but Kerry kept poking me because he didn't want the people around him asleep.
Got there. Went through a million metal detectors. Sat in on part of the Senate's meeting. Went and talked to 2 of the staff/tour guides there. Turns out the entire place is basically man-made marble and light bulbs. Lol.
Met with Amy Tuck. Met with 15 other state senators/representatives. I already knew Leo Bentz, Tommy Gollott, and Randall Patterson. How cool is that?!? Then I met some others. We ate lunch with them and then went to walk on the Senate floor. It was great. Actually kinda makes me want to be in the state legislature!
Then we sat in on the House's meeting. That was the best part. I actually got into that meeting. Then we left. Ride home was quite interesting. Beth ended up with her "big butt" all over me quite a few times because Kerry and Kim wanted to play trip the other people. But all in all the ride home was fun. I listened to music some more and wrote the thank you's for Gollott and Patterson since I knew them. I couldn't do more than two.
But oh my gawd! It was an adventure. I'd love to page up there for a week.
