What winter means to me...

May 08, 2006 21:53

Yes thats right, the summer is dead and soon in its place will be the cruelty of winter. Now I don't live in Siberia so I don't bitch about the cold at all. Unlike the rest of you Melbournian whingers. Im actually looking forward to a few things in winter...

+ Playing Hockey 4 times a week and not nearly dying from loss of liquids.

+ Running through the frost at night and smelling West Footscray (its not a stink, but a smell unique to winter)

+ Silverstein at the Corner Hotel on May 27 with Matty.

+ Sleepy nights by the fire with Frankie in my arms cuddling.

+ Wearing a hoody in the pit and being comfortable the whole gig.

+ Using cold and wet Sunday as a good excuse to sit in bed with Frankie and tickle her.

+ Buying jackets that make me look buff/Buying black skivies that make me look like a deranged Hardcore boy (its all about the look)

+ Getting hot jam donuts at the Queen Vic Market that take the numbness away from your finger tips and toungue.

+ Waking up to a thick fog covering my bedroom and the toasty central heating on

+ Quick walks on break to the Bakery (the wind whips up along Puckle St, Moonee Ponds) Brrrrrrr!

+ Watching Melbourne Ice in the AIHL.

+ Screaming at the TV when the Doggies are playing (Actual AFL games suck!)

+ Sitting by Nev's little kettle pot fire and telling long and drawn out Hockey stories.

+ Having the fire in my belly from only being a month away from playing Nationals.\

Coming soon! Pics from my trusty cam phone that details what I've been upto.... ;-)
