The highlight of my day was in my Math class realizing that my car has a tape deck. Now, when (and if) I get an iPod or an MP3 device of some sort I can sync it up with those cool casette car-ready products and not fuss with a weird wire that will connect the device to my FM radio.
Reason #9884185 Why I Dislike My English Class and My Teacher Today we got back our creative writing assignments for the crappy book known as Beowulf. I got a 43 out of 50. Could be worse. Anyway that's not important. My teacher decided that instead of pointing out what I did good she would point out everything I did wrong, which judging from her green pen, was a lot. And guess what! You know how at the end of your paper your teacher will write a cool message about what you did that was cool? Well my teacher writes a smartass comment about how I wrote in first person as opposed to third. Next. Earlier this week I gave a presentation by myself because no one wanted to be my partner. Understandable. I thought I did a damn good job if I do say so myself. Apparently no one else thought so because no one even said a simple "nice job Matt," which I guess is too much to ask. For someone who did a two-person job and for someone who was grilled without someone else to jump in and cover for him, I have a right to complain about not getting any praise. Come on, it was the least someone could've done to say something that was nice. Thus my belief that everyone is out to destroy me emotionally.
Random Rant I am so sick of school and saying "Hi" and waving to people who don't wave back. Today I said "Hi" to the same person twice. The first time I got nothing. The second time I had to actually say to their face "Hi. How are you?" in a kind of loundish voice. Even then all I got was a huffy and annoyed, "Hi Matt. How are you?"
I figure all I do is get angry over how I dislike school and how it sucks for me when really I could spend my time talking about better things.
Tomorrow is more or less my last day of school this week. Friday I will be gone the whole day because I am attending Medieval Times with the Junior AP English classes. I am a Medieval Times virgin so hopefully my first time will be nice and gentle.
