in your profile is one of my absolute favorite poems. i think my favorite stanza is:
And I have know the eyes already, known them all - The eyes that fix you in a formulated phrase, And when I am formulated, sprawling on a pin, When I am pinned and wriggling on the wall, Then how should I begin To spit out the butt-ends of my days and ways? And how should I presume?
Wow, yeah T.S. Eliot is one of my most favorite poets; i just love the depth of this poem. Even though i hate to admit it, i find alot of myself in Prufrock. Anyway, we both have awesome taste. I read an interesting poem today, Between the World and Me by Richard Wright (he also wrote Native Son). You might want to check it out if you get the chance, it's pretty good, great imagery.
Flippin' sweet. I've added you back. Although, I hardly use this livejournal... Most of the posts that I make are private or too boring to post for friends (the few that I have on this journal. haha.) If I think of it, though, I'll be sure to make a post or two every now and then.
Also, I meant to post to you some music a while ago. John K Samson is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite poets and happens to write music and sing in a band as well. I suggest you look up these lyrics while the songs play. You certainly wont regret it.
gosh, thanks! I really like it! What great taste. ;)
I've only just really begun to use this journal myself, before, i used to use deadjournal (i'm pretty secretive with most stuff, and deadjournal is just...dead and safe, hardly anyone is on it) but lj is pretty good too, i guess.
