Well now... Seems that ID software is rather pissed off that some stores released Doom 3 a lil early.. and the pirate's got the game out quick as shit. All i have to say is 55$ is alot of money to me. I am a huge fan of doom.. But im to fucking broke.. So as usual i download them lol. Anyways here's what THEY have to say.

News reports that the leaked version of Doom 3 will cost id Software $2.7 million in lost sales. According to the BBC, more than 50,000 copies have been downloaded on file-sharing networks and newsgroups. The copies, with a weight of 1.5 gig, appeared on the internet over the weekend. Supposedly, this is caused by stores in the US that sold Doom 3 before the official release date.

"Despite the relatively low price of PC games, many gamers are still choosing to resort to piracy rather than pay for legitimate boxed copies," said Matt Pierce, publisher of the computer games magazine, PC Gamer.

"Since Doom 3 is one of the most eagerly awaited PC games ever, it was almost inevitable that it was going to be leaked online following its US release."
