i did a good deed today, with my mom.
we filled three stockings for three 16 year old girls who live in an orphanage-type place. we spent almost three hours picking out stuff to get them, because this is the only christmas present that they get. i love the feeling of giving - its so much more satisfying and long lasting than getting something.
right now, i am sitting at home, waiting for my biscotti to dry, listening to christmas music. no one else is home, and no one is answering their cell phones. i'm thinking i'll walk around the downtown la mesa christmas thing by myself, and drop by chloe's birthday party.
i'm in a sort of somber mood, but i kind of like it. there is no sound except for the oldies christmas tunes. i don't know if i can work up the energy to go out! i'm so tired still!
