I think that the Diffenbachia will grow better in soil than water. The reason I think that it will grow better is because the plant will get more minerals and nutrients than regular tap water will give out.

Materials: <-- Top left

-Tap water
-Planting soil
-2 Diffenbachia plants
-Vace
-Sun/Light
-Pot

Procedure:
We are going to see if the Diffenbachia grows better in water or soil. For a few days we let both of the plants sit. We gave them the proper amount of water each day. We also took pictures of the plants as the days went by.

Results:

(tab) In this experement we found that the Diffenbachia grows better in soil. The reason that it grows better in soil is because soil has more mineral nutrients that most plants are required to have. We also found out that the Diffenbachia is one of the easiest plants to take care of. With doing further research I found that this plant can grow appocimatly three feet tall. We also found that the plant is also toxic.
(tab) We also found that the Diffenbachia has other names, such as Dumb Cane and Mother-in-law plant. The Diffenbachia also grew better in low/medium light and medium to high humidity.

Conditions:
(tab) First I did some research on regular tap water and planting soil. Then once I did that, I did research on the plant (Diffenbachia). Then I put one plant in regular tap water. Then another in regular planting soil. Since I did research I new that the plants like to grow in low/medium light. So I sat both of the plants in an area that would reseve that much lighting. Then I simply waited until I needed to change and re-water the plants. Then I watched the plants slowly grow day by day.
