the wolves know my name
they are familiar with my flesh
gnawing it from the bone as i
looked on helplessly
smiling
a final sacrifice in my last days
to these sad wild dogs
who starved as their quarry became
diminished by
road paving monstrous brightly colored beasts
fed by shattered bits of uprooted ancient earth
populated by other
foul creations
a plague which spread it's blackened death
wings over the landscape
who will deliver the
eulogy for our one common mother
when no lips are left
but the parched malnourished
humanity
we are becoming
