clip the leaves back on,
leave the trash in the corner.
Forget the mop, we never used it anyway.
dust up the suitcases,
let the dishes stack up,
don't check the mailbox,
don't wash the car,
leave all the lights on.

two men on the sidewalk,
two pennies a pocket
two weeks and its over
two chances, dont chance it.

the grass at your feet the books on the shelves
its nothing, i promise, its nothing, dont worry.
the hands on the old clock
the stamps on the desk
cross your calendars and hope to die
come on everybody do the anxiety.

waiting for something worth waiting for.
