Merry Christmas, everybody!
This Christmas has been pretty freaking spectacular, which is nice after last Christmas.
We woke up early this morning, as usual, and did the gift thing. Now we're all kind of chilling out while mom starts the preliminary cooking for Christmas dinner. Dad's at the airport trying to get his airplane into a hanger; there's a giant storm headed this way with a good chance of hail and everything. Merry Christmas, guys! Hail!
Today's going to be fun. Cleaning (not the fun part), and then Christmas dinner with the family at 3:00 and the movies with Jordan, his mom and his grandma at like 5:00 or 6:00. (:
I guess I could be super awesome and jump the gun on the traditional Livejournal List of Christmas Gifts like everyone does every year.
From Family:
-"Brushfire Fairytales" by Jack Johnson and scarf from Ricky (Ha ha Justine, he got me the same scarf I got you)
-Knit beanie that matches said scarf (From my Aunt Sue)
-Bath and body stuff and a sleep mask (ha ha!) from my Aunt Joyce and Uncle Rick
-Salvador Dali "magic cube" and a crazy Celtic belt from my grandma
-Gloves which match aforementioned scarf and hat and a bag of lemonheads from Claire (:
From Mom and Dad:
-Phillips stereo (no more crappy clock radio for me!)
-Orchid (green and purple dendrobium which I actually almost bought the other day)
-$25 Starbucks card (yaay)
From Jordan's mom:
-Coconut bath stuff
-Road of Saigon (a book)
-Giant book of crossword puzzles ('cause I do them all the time)
-Wooden puzzle (Jordan got one too and we suck at them)
-Onyx earrings
-Really fuzzy socks to wear while sleeping/around the house (because I'm always cold)
And from my wonderful boyfriend:
-Kids Like Us shirt
-Black My Heart shirt
-And my very favorite from this whole year, a white-gold and diamond band :D :D :D
I'm so thankful for everything this year. To have an up-and-down seven months or so followed by five months of complete happiness culminate in a Christmas this amazing is more than I could ask for. My family has its problems but we're generally an all-right bunch, I have the most amazing friends on earth and someone who's better than I could ever hope for loves me. It's unbelieviable. Later today I probably won't be in a mood as nice as this one: cleaning house all day with a perfectionist father while my mom cooks way too much food and gets frustrated can be kind of depressing, and the storm of epic proportions which is headed this way probably won't help. But right now all is well and I couldn't be more happy.
I guess that's what livejournal is good for; to be used to remember the good stuff.
Merry Christmas, guys.
