Her eyes were closed and tiny snores escaped her lips, matching her slowed breath and causing me to put my hand over my mouth so my laugh wouldn't wake her. I pulled the blankets up to her shoulders and kissed her cheek before I whispered "I love you" into her ear and turned out the lamp on the bedside table. At that moment, it didn't matter that there were two other people on the bed with her or that we were in a hotel room in Santa Ana with about 17 other people or that she lived in Vegas and she'd be gone tomorrow. All that mattered was that I got to tuck my baby sister in for the first time in months. All that mattered was that she was here.
Miguel came back last night and today we had an arguement. I couldn't even manage to have him back for one day without messing things up.
