(no subject)
so here's some more writing i found in my writing notebook that i thought i'd post since i've decided this to be my writing collection.
July Fourth, 2006
The struggle to be accepted
let alone accept myself,
and I'm lost in a vast sea
of insecurity and self-
doubt. It's all because of
my obdulla oblongata,
and unhealthy obsessions
of proper spelling. I'm a
bee lacking a hive to call
home, spreading corn-flower
gold pollen amongst many
places. Sneaking my scent
through nasal passages I
quite possibly could be worthy
of. And then I take a leap
back to reality and find
myself halting after a brief
creative spasm. Farewell,
my favorite friend, see you
after a while...
July Twenty-fifth, 2006
I feel helpless,
But I've never been so healthy.
The control has been lost,
Yet I am on the right track-
Everything is planned out,
now we just wait for it to happen;
wondering, imagining,
it shall be nothing short of wonderful.
I've never felt amazing,
but it's reoccuring now, and
I'm glowing with the brilliance of
a thousand street-side lamps.
The point of unexplanatory thoughts
has been surpassed by now,
and this is exactly what I want,
and more than everything I need...
Including the late nights, silly fights,
and doing what feels right.
July Twenty-eighth, 2006
I'll walk through the path of my long-to-live dreams,
with the bumps, the jumps, some nooks with some crannies,
The end is so far, but will soon be so near,
emotions pour out, excitement and fear.
Some steps will be taken, in high heels and in slippers,
and styles may change from year to year.
But for my confidence, my aura, my personal drive,
they'll grow stronger, maybe so, but nowhere they shall go.
I've got a grip and a plan, and neither may last.
But the love and the hope, determination, too,
keep me grounded and one of the different who:
live their life, love their life, and a few things more,
I'll stand by my motto, "MAKE LOVE AND NOT WAR".
So if I end up flying to spcae, or losing an eye,
I'll always be Kate, me, myself and I.
