makes you cringe? this country song they play at work were the asshole says something like " hate my job, i hate my life, i hate my kids, i hate my ex-wife." wicked bad.

puts you to sleep? anything by mono or explosions in the sky

reminds you of your childhood? ace of base: the sign
is impossible not to sing along to? kevin devine: the longer that i'm out here. .
is your biggest guilty pleasure? maroon 5: this love
describes you/your life, and why? bright eyes: curious girl - i'm bipolar and the song speaks to me about the difficulty of living with this. i have part of the lyrics "no matter what i would do in an attempt to replace all these pills that i take trying to balance my brain." written on my tattoo.
do you listen to on repeat, why? xiu xiu: i luv the valley oh! - i adore this song, but it's far to short. i have to listen to it multiple times to be satisfied haha.
has a painful memory attached?
has an amazing memory attached? these green eyes: flogging (being sung to in the middle of the song on my birthday)
has a hilarious memory attached? the flaming tsunamis: opus (my friend tasha "bringing the mosh" in the middle of a wendy's parking lot)

opinions:
bush: he disgusts me. i don't understand how he can preach morality, and then kill innocent people for a bullshit reason. he did nothing for our country during his four years in office, and in fact worsened our financial situation.
kerry: while i agree with most of what kerry says, i'm skeptical of his sincerity. i like the fact that he wants to look out for the interests of the majority, rather than the top one percent.
third party candidates: right now america has a two party system. it will continue to be this way until people start to pay attention to the third party. if you like a third party candidate more than the two main candidates you should absolutely vote for them. this actually says something to the country. your voice DOES matter.
sex: sex should only be had by people who are mature enough to discuss it, seek protection, and take responsibility for their actions. no specific age group is more ready than another, it's all about the individual.
drugs/alcohol: it's a personal choice that is acceptable when used responsibly. i would never dislike a person for using drugs or choosing to obstain.
education: education in this country is pathetic. i found school to be more of a burden than anything. at the time i just wanted to get out. i felt so restricted. by the time i actually cared about school it was too late to apply myself enough to get accepted to a good school. i think it's a shame that it's so difficult for average, lower-middle class student to be able to get into and afford college. people aren't necessarily their best in high school, and should not be judged soley on their performances there.
depression: people who don't suffer from depression can never understand what people who do suffer from it truely go through. it comes in all different forms and it takes over your life. i can't stand it when people claim they're depressed for attention. people like this make other people take depression less seriously and attention and help is focussed on those who don't actually need it.
trends/fashion: if you like a trend, go for it. but don't do or wear something because you think you should. never settle for anything that isn't you.
stereotypes: stereotypes usually have some basis in reality, but the problem is that they use the worst of the bunch to describe the rest.
religion: it's absolutely important to have beliefs and ideas, but it's also important to respect the beliefs and ideas of others. personally, i'm agnostic, but i have respect for those who choose to practice different forms of organized relgion. some people definately take things too far, and act shitty in reguards to what they believe in, but not all religious people are like this. people tend to lump all people of the same religion into one group, when in reality some people have much more open minds than others.
abortion: i'm pro-life. i believe that a life is a life and that life begins at conception. when you make the choice to have sex you must take into consideration that you COULD become pregnant. people should take responsibility for their actions. abortion is the easy way out of something that you could have prevented. plus, there's always adoption.
death-penalty: i think the government is completely hypocritical when they allow the death penalty. they're saying "you're not allowed to take a life, but we are." i don't think that anyone has the right to take another person's life. maybe they paid more attention to repremanding murderers, rapists and the like, rather than locking up drug usersand other non-violent offenders for extended periods of time, we could actually make a difference. . i dunno how to explain that one haha.
war: disgusting. again, hypocritical. it's ok for our country to kill their people, but it's not ok for their country to kill ours. all lives have value reguardless of what country you're from.
what is one subject that you have a strong opinion on that your "peers" tend to disagree with? i'm pro-life, as i mentioned before.

other
what do you miss about your childhood? playing with dollhouses, confidence, a much smaller variety of negative emotions, freedom (from work)
what do you love about being older? freedom (from parents)
what is something that pisses you off? fashion
what irrational fears do you have? spiders, mannequins
what are your hobbies? photography and i write on occassion
why do you want to join? heh, i run it actually
what makes you unique? the fact that i make up my OWN mind about things and won't let others influence my opinion without having a valid point or something to back it up.
