ryan mcginley
so right now my favorite class is arts & ideas, mainly because my professor chooses really awesome photographers and topics for us to research. this week we were looking at ryan mcginley, who i'm pretty sure is one of my new favorite photographers of all time.
when i first saw the last image i thought it looked really familiar but i couldn't quite place it, then upon further research realized why: the image from sigur rós' album "með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust" was also taken from the same set of photos (mcginley's "i know where the summer goes" set). awesome!!
he also collaborated with them to film the video for "gobbledigook," which is really sweet too.
