Okay everybody... Here's my update on my friend from last night!
Becca is baptist and her church is southern baptist... i think... so her church is opposite of penticostals! so she was amazing and confused on why everybody was marching, and she was bewildered at everything! she said at least 5 times "Do you guys ever sit? My feet are killing me!" (and i'm standing there in 3inch heels no big deal to me!) it was kinda fun!
Well Bro. Moroney preached on carrying your cross! He said that you can't keep picking up burdens from past, don't dwell on what has happened, all the times you cussed out somebody or whatever it is! We needed to get past the alter of sacrifice and go to the alter of incense(sp) in other words: Stop repenting and repenting over things that's already under blood, and get to a higher level of worship with him. i think she enjoyed it!
We had alter call and me and a friend from another church went up and started praying... (cause i think his sermon fit me perfectly!) and i started crying. wsell my youth leaders wife came up behind me and said your friends praying! so i walked over and started praying with her... then like 3 or 4 other adults came over and helped me.... in the beginning she was stiff... very baptisty... a guy from another church here in town started to tell her to just talk to God... if it hadn't have been for those 2 people i wouldn't have ever got her that far....
She looked at me and Said, "Lisa what is this that i'm feeling? I've never felt this!" And side note: She faints alot... she gets light headed easily and faints. she said "Its not the feeling of faint, but i feel something, she goes i've never felt this!" and starts crying again! well the guy goes, loosen up, just talk to God... yell to him.... make sure that he knows that you love him, that you worship him... and then she pops her hands up and a little bit more than a mumble she starts talking starts saying stuff... and (i'm gunna cry) she started having stammering lips and God was there..... The guy looked down and goes you feel that? Thats God wanting you! That's God wanting to come out. He goes just keep talking to him... and don't hold back, don't fight it! She said I'm not fighting it! He goes don't talk to me talk to him! Then she started speaking in tounges! And a look of serenity came over her face.... and i started crying, i feel on my knees and started worshiping God... and she started crying more! Both of the people praying with her were like do you go to church with her? she goes no.... we don't even believe in the holy spirit- we don't believe that tounges is still real! but it is! so they were all telling her that you should go to church with her!
on the way home she told me that she won't be able to come this sunday but she will next! i'm soo excited! she told me that she doesn't want to cut her hair, but she's not sure on the skirt thing yet... which is fine... you have to clean them up first!
