I'm never going to be a writer, because I never write. It's hard to write. I've spent most of my recent days in front of illuminated screens. I've seen more movies in 3 days then I saw a month last year. Everyone on TV is getting skinnier; characters in movies are becoming more and more real. It isn't fair to suggest all characters are fiction, people write about what they know. Movies aren't always some fabricated illusion; you have to take into account the people behind the frames. Every shot presented in a movie was thought up, planned, and executed. Beautiful shots that last mere seconds on screens took camera crews and directors hours, if not days to get just right. The way the lighting is flawless, the center centered and all sides symmetrical. It's amazing what goes into a mere moment of our lives. Even things less glamorous then Hollywood movies. Even reality TV shows are planned and take time to execute properly. The man behind the scenes, the man who watches every second of the characters days, to determine if anything they spoke into the camera was insightful enough, or shameful enough to edit into the show. I can't imagine making a living off watching other people's lives unfold while yours is spent watching it.
