I've never met any of them, so I don't know if I'd like them as people. I was going to put Dan Andriano and Matt Skiba because I love their lyrics, but then I'd feel obligated to put all the other vocalists I adore but have never met, which takes away for my whole purpose of that little section. I've met everyone I mentioned except Tim Mahoney, Johnny Depp, and Paul Booth.
Tim Mahoney inspired me to play guitar and love music for the musical ascept rather than the vocal/lyrical aspect. He was my first inspiration. Also, I talked to him online in a "chat with the band" thing 311 did a couple years ago and he is very, very nice and humble.
Johnny Depp has demonstrated to me that it is not necessary to try and do "what's safe". He has played numerous, amazingly done roles in some of the best and most unique movies I have ever seen.
Paul Booth, like Johnny Depp, has shown me that there are no boundaries, or "norms" to tattoo artistry. He enjoys some of the darker things in life/culture, while remaining a silly, fun person and I can relate to him. His work is a large part of what inspired my desire to be a tattoo artist.
